Jewelry Finish & Care
When you first receive your BUCK PALMER pieces, they’ll arrive bright and shiny. Over time, with wear and exposure to water, they naturally develop a soft matte finish. We like to think they only get better with age!
If you’d prefer to maintain their original shine, here are two simple options:
- Use a polishing cloth
- Use a polishing liquid
A quick polish every few weeks or months will keep your pieces looking pristine.
Find Your Ring Size
- Wrap a piece of string or paper around your finger, making sure to account for your knuckle.
- Mark where the ends overlap with a pen or marker.
- Lay the string/paper flat and measure the distance between the marks in millimeters.
- Match your measurement to the “Inside Circumference” column on the chart below to find your US/UK/AUS ring size.
How to Put on a Cuff
To protect your cuff from bending or damage, follow these steps (see GIF above for reference):
- Hold the part of the cuff opposite the opening.
- Rotate it so the opening is on the side of your wrist.
- Slide the opening over the narrowest part of your wrist.
- Rotate the cuff to your preferred position.
- Gently press the ends together to tighten slightly.
Jewelry Care Tips
We recommend removing silver jewelry before swimming or bathing in natural hot springs, or in water that contains sulfur or sulfuric compounds. Sulfur can oxidize silver, turning it dark gray or black.
If this happens, don’t worry—it’s easy to fix. You can:
- Gently buff off oxidation with fine sandpaper, or
- Take it to a jeweler for professional polishing.
